From the recording Bold Enough To Say (2014)
Your Interlude, "You Belong to the Earth,' is so beautiful, I hardly know what to say. Its poetry of music, voice, and word bestills me. The pathos of the nature and energy of Jesus here and how that immortal energy touched both his own life and all lives with mystery, truth, and necessity is humbling. This song is one of your greatest achievements. - Ethan

Lyrics
You belong to the earth
you belong to the fire still alive in the words that you came to say
You belong to the dirt
from the time the departed will arrive to the time of the open grave
You belong to the earth
there are those who would bury you alive
just to see what you do when they kill only you
and spare those you came to save
You belong to the earth
circumscribe to the meaning you derive from the time that you waste in your youth
You would long to avert
eager eyes who could never realize what they see when they glimpse the truth
You belong to the earth
you belong to the fire in the night that you feel when you turn
to avoid being burned
and the mystery is laid before you
You belong to the earth You belong to the earth...
